WCCC to Hold Championship Baseball Clinics

 

            YOUNGWOOD, PA – The Westmoreland County Community College Wolfpack baseball coaching staff and team will offer Championship Baseball Clinics Saturdays and Sundays beginning January 30 at the WCCC Youngwood campus.

            The clinics are designed to help players age 6 and older develop and master baseball skills.  The sessions will feature group and individual instruction, drills and videotapes.  Members of the WCCC Wolfpack coaching staff including Head Coach Mike Draghi and the members of the baseball team will provide the instruction.

            Hitting camps will be conducted for children ages 6 to 18 January 30 and 31; February 6 and 7; February 13 and 14; and February 20 and 21 from noon to 2 p.m.  For children ages 12 to 18, a specialty hitting camp is scheduled February 20 and 21 from 9 to 11 a.m.

            Workshops for sharpening infield skills are scheduled January 30 and 31 for youths ages 6 through 11 and February 6 and 7 for players ages 12 and older.  Both classes meet from 9 to 11 a.m.

            A pitching camp will be held February 13 and 14 for youths ages 8 through 11 from 9 to 11 a.m.

The cost of each workshop is $35 and registration is required.  Participants should bring a glove and indoor gym shoes for the sessions.
