The women's basketball team finished up their first half of the season with a strong finish, as they beat Lorain CC 106-38. WCCC is currently (11-3) on the season and will begin conference play starting January 7, at Butler CCC. WCCC men's basketball team dropped their final game heading into break as Lorain defeated them 80-61. The Wolfpack sit at (4-9) half way through their schedule as they too begin conference play January 7, at Butler CCC. |

Men Lose Pair

The men's basketball team lost a pair of games at the Jamestown CC Tournament over the weekend. WCCC displayed very poor shooting throughout the game as Cuyahoga CC defeated WCCC 105-57. Jamestown then bounced the Wolfpack 61-51 in the consolation game. Once again, poor shooting did WCCC (4-8) in. |

Henry-National Player of the Week

Jamie Henry (Southmoreland) is the NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball Player of the Week. The 6'1" forward recorded three double-doubles in four contests last week, two of which came against Division II opponents.
On Dec. 1st, she scored 22 points, 20 rebounds, three assists, three steals and an assist against West Virginia Northern. She followed that showing on Dec. 3rd with 14 points, 21 rebounds, six assists and two steals and two blocks in a 78-72 win over DII Mercyhurst NE. In a 68-65 win over DII Columbus State, Henry recorded 12 points, 20 rebounds, two assists and six blocks.
Henry shot 66.6 percent (24 of 36) from the field last week and currently ranks second in the nation for rebounds (18.1 rpg), eighth in blocks (2.5 bpg) and ninth for field goal percentage (61.8%). |

Leading by one with 1:20 left in the game, MG Rockville hit a clutch three pointer as they shook off WCCC 60-58, in Region XX play. The Wolfpack had several chances late to tie the game but couldn't manage a basket. WCCC (10-3) was led by Kim Seale (Wilson Academy) 17 points, 5 assists, 2 steals; Laura McCuley (Greensburg Salem) netted 14 points, 5 assists, 2 steals; Emily Sprankle (Leechburg) 11 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. |

Women Split Tournament

The women's basketball team shot a miserable 20% from the floor as Jamestown used solid defense as they rolled over WCCC 66-27. Jamie Henry (Southmoreland) tossed in 8 points, 3 blocks and 20 boards. WCCC then faced off against Columbus St. The Wolfpack led the entire game until Columbus St. hit a three pointer with over a minute and half left in the game but the Pack didn't panic. Kim Seale (Wilson Academy) hit the game winning basket with a minute left, as WCCC won 68-65. Tessa Demary (Derry) has a career high 28 points as she was named to the Jamestown All-Tournament Team. Henry cleaned the boards with 20 rebounds, 6 blocks and 14 points; Seale finished with 12 points. WCCC is currently 10-1 on the season. |

Sabrina Jackson (Laurel Highlands) played outstanding defense along with Brea Alcalotto (Norwin), Jackson finished with 6 points while Alcalotto netted 2. |

WCCC men's basketball team shot a dismal 23% for the game, as Mercyhurst NE used the 3 pointer to down the Pack 87-60. The Wolfpack (4-6) trailed 59-53 with 9 minutes to go but they couldn't make a shot as MNE shot lights out from the arch nailing 11 three's. Alexander Eric (Serbia) and Aaron Allen (Greensburg Salem) led all WCCC scorers with 13 and 12 points. |

Jon Shodi (Hempfield) drained two free throws with .5 seconds remaining, as WCCC downed WVNCC in three overtimes 105-103. Shodi was set up on a perfect inbounds play from Chris Matheny (Norwin) which resulted in the wining baskets. Alexander Eric (Serbia) led all WCCC scorers with 23 points and 10 steals while Aaron Allen knocked down 21 points. The Wolfpack (4-5) received outstanding play from their guards, Matt McKenna and Shodi. McKenna's (Pittsburgh Central Catholic) 10 points, 7 assists, 2 steals along with Shodi's 12 points, 10 assists and 3 steals sparked the back court duo for WCCC. |
