Nate Helster (Charleroi) was perfect at the plate as he helped WCCC to a 5-1 victory over CCAC Boyce in conference play.  Helster went 4 for 4 as Brad Walor (Greensburg Salem) and Wes Dugan (Hempfield) both added two hits a piece.  WCCC is currently 10-3 on the fall season as they head into a three game series this week that will decide the top seeds for the fall WPCC Baseball Championships next weekend.

Freshman, Ryan Fazio (Shaler) led the way for the Wolfapack as they swept CCAC South 15-9, 7-4 and Butler CCC 17-8 and 10-8. Fazio is batting a .483 with 13 RBI's while sophomore Nate Helster (Charleroi) is slugging a .625 average. Freshman Davis King (Yough) is 2-0 on the mound along with Fazio. WCCC is currently in first place in the WPCC with a 6-2 record.

The men's baseball team starting off their fall season on Saturday by sweeping Butler CCC (9-4, 5-0). Freshman pitchers, Dave King (Yough) and Ryan Fazio (Shaler) picked up the mound victories for the Pack. On Sunday, WCCC was swept by CCAC Boyce (16-15, 16-15) and fall to (2-2) on the season.

Freshman catcher, Steven Zerbini (Greensburg Salem) was named to the 2009 NJCAA Division III Baseball All-American Second Team. Zerbini batted .408 on the season with 106 putouts, 18 assists and only 8 errors behind the plate. Sophomore outfielder, John Veach-Dixon (Hempfield) was also named All-American, as he was placed on Third Team. Veach-Dixon belted out a .385 average while securing left field and only committing 1 error on the season. Both players played a major role in helping WCCC reach the Region XX baseball finals.
