Institutional Effectiveness

Westmoreland County Community College is committed to implementing a college-wide Institutional Effectiveness Plan that will produce clear evidence that the institution is achieving its mission.

The institution will guide and support individual facilitators in the systematic process of planning, budgeting, implementation, assessment and evaluation. Ultimately, the purpose of institutional effectiveness is student learning and success.

Did you know? 88% of the students that participated in the CCSSE Survey reported that Westmoreland prepared them to obtain a job related to their field of study.

Institutional learning outcomes have been adapted from Learning Outcomes for the 21st Century and have been approved as the framework for general education at Westmoreland. Students are expected to achieve competency in all these outcomes through satisfactory distribution and program course requirements for all associate degree programs.
